Budgeting for Accessibility in Your Primary Prevention Programs
January 29 @ 1:00 pm - 2:30 pm
Please join us for a webinar on budgeting time, resources, and funding to prioritize accessibility in prevention programming and organizing. Bio: Cierra Olivia Thomas-Williams, M.A. (she/her pronouns) is a Prevention Specialist at Indiana Coalition Against Domestic Violence (ICADV) whose work focuses on primary prevention with people with intellectual and developmental disabilities who remain underserved by the movement to end violence and marginalized by systems inequities, such as differential access to opportunities and resources. Accessibility: Please let us know what we can do to increase accessibility on the evaluation you will receive after the webinar. This presenters in this webinar will be speaking English and the PowerPoint slides align with ADA guidelines. Let us know if you need the slides ahead of time or in larger print by emailing Cierra at email@example.com. The Abuse Prevention Disability Task Force (APDTF) commits to bring live captioning (CART) to each of our webinars, but sometimes our scheduling needs and the availability of transcriptionists do not align. For this webinar, you can find live streaming captions by opening a new browser window to the following URL: https://www.streamtext.net/player?event=ICADV. You will need to leave the CART window open during the webinar to see the live captions. We provide you with a copy of the slides for download to view on another screen or on paper during the webinar. After the webinar, we provide to all registrants a transcript along with the captioned video, slides and other materials. We also commit to post the materials to the online resource HUB within thirty days of the webinar. We wish to decrease barriers to participation in our webinars and invite you to email Cierra at the above email address to let us know what we can do to meet your participation needs.
