The Indiana Victim Assistance Basic Academy is an entry-level program that provides comprehensive, accessible, diverse and affordable training to those who provide direct services to victims of crime. This 43-hour program is provided over three weeks through a combination of in-person* and webinar sessions.
The Academy is open to anyone employed by a government or non-profit agency who provides direct services to crime victims and has held their current position for three years or less. There is no charge to attend the Academy, however, accepted students are required to participate fully and complete all sessions. Hotel accommodations are available for those students who must travel more than 50 miles to attend the in-person sessions.
