Understanding Intimate Partner Violence for Service Providers 2024

This training functions as a basic introduction to the issues encompassed in intimate partner violence (IPV) and the experiences of both survivors and perpetrators of IPV. This webinar meets the requirements of the Indiana Department of Child Services DV Survivor & Child Intervention Service Standards direct worker qualifications.

Focus areas include:

– understanding power and control dynamics

– understanding the statistics, myths, and stereotypes around survivors and perpetrators

– learning red flags and signs of abuse

– strategies in assessing and assisting families affected.


There are three available dates: June 11, August 13, and November 12 from 2-4 pm. Purchasing a ticket grants you access to any date.

Once you have finalized registration on Qgiv, you will receive a follow-up email from Qgiv with links to register for the Zoom meeting of your choosing. Complete BOTH forms to finalize your registration and gain access to the webinar. You only need to register for one webinar; however, you may choose your date or register for a different date should a conflict arise.

Participants will receive a Certificate of Participation for their records, and to submit as documentation of meeting the training requirement upon completion of the webinar.
