DESCRIPTION:We know that substance abuse is both a risk factor and an impact of intimate partner violence. Substance abuse is also a common scapegoat for abusive behaviors. With how intertwined the two issues are\, it’s important to better understand them and use it to inform our work. In this webinar we’ll discuss tactics of abuse specific to substance abuse\, examine the role of substance abuse as a risk factor for IPV\, and share strategies for supporting survivors dealing with substance abuse issues.
